LEIMAY PRESENTING SERIES 2026: AT HOME CONSTELLATION

The old woman, or crone, sees with the soul’s eyes. Owls and birds of prey move between night and day, crossing thresholds of perception. Together, these figures invite us to see beyond illusion and to trust intuition.

Through the hands of puppeteers and masked creatures, The Owl and the Crone delves into themes of insight and impermanence. These two mythological monsters dwell at the cusp of life and death, hovering.

KATE BREHM

Kate Brehm is an NYC-based puppeteer and movement director. She is the recipient of three Henson Foundation awards, certified in the Margolis Method, and teaches puppetry and mask at Harvard University. JON LEVIN

Jon Levin is a director, performer, puppeteer, and the co-Artistic Director of Sinking Ship Productions. Recent directing/co-creation credits include The 7th Voyage of Egon Tichy at NYTW, which earned two Drama Desk nominations, and Cassandra: An Agony at the J. Paul Getty Museum. Jon co-created and performed A Hunger Artist at the Connelly Theater, for which he earned two Drama Desk nominations and was awarded Summerhall’s Lustrum Award at the Edinburgh Fringe. Additional directing credits include Powerhouse at the New Ohio Theatre (NYTimes Critics Pick), Flatland, an EST/Sloan commission, Ocean at Mabou Mines Suite and There Will Come Soft Rains at FringeNYC ( Award for Outstanding Direction). ERIN ORR

Erin Orr is a puppeteer, educator, researcher and cook. She is inspired by folklore and by collaborating with composers and creates puppet shows and multi-course dinners as an experiment in visual and visceral storytelling. Erin recently designed and built puppets for “Perigrinations” which is on its way to Edinburgh Fringe. As an Artist Mentor & Curriculum Specialist for ArtsConnection, Erin teaches in NYC public schools and also designs and implements practitioner research into how artists and educators can support and build on the artistic literacies of young children.

BRENT ARNOLD

Electroacoustic cellist and composer for concert, opera, dance, theater and film. Leader of the Night Heron Quintet. Original member of Dave Malloy’s Ghost Quartet. Producer, arranger, orchestrator, and performer in collaboration with innumerable artists. His new album More Light will be released in Autumn 2026.
