“From the first time I experienced CAVE’S Programs of classes and workshops, and community, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of depth, soulfulness, earnest inquiry, abundant creative thinking, seriousness, and professionalism to a degree that I had encountered almost nowhere before. Through CAVE my movement life and performance life were born. I was introduced to a new approach of movement, and “dance”, I was introduced to a new way of being in relationship with my body, and the forces of gravity, space and time. I was given the opportunity to be immersed in a crisp, and rich vocabulary of critical thinking, looking, seeing, hearing, listening and speaking and moving.
CAVE offered access for people to participate in experiential workshops, classes, and trainings with the very finest masters and teachers from around the world. I was given a space to experiment, and grow… a space to practice, a space to nurture my imagination and my body. After I came to CAVE, I never looked for anywhere else to go. I knew in my heart it was the best place I could be to grow my dance body and mind. I continue, now, into my fourth year, to attend and participate in the programs that CAVE offers. I have the highest regard for the work and the play that happens there. For me… it is symbolic of home.”
