LUDUS Lab with dancer and Body Weather practitioner Sherwood Chen

This was a workshop by dancer and Body Weather practitioner Sherwood Chen. Workshop description: Body Weather is kinesthetic and movement research initiated by Butoh dancer/farmer Min Tanaka and members of his company Mai Juku, further developed independently by exponents worldwide. It proposes and generates questions about the body and vigilance towards its immediate, ever-shifting internal and external states. Working with direct senses, imagery and varied interventions towards the ceaseless porosity between flesh, bone, imagination and space to yield impossible and/or newfound bodies. Tomorrow, we will challenge physical limits, scale and timing, evoking sense memory and re-examine the body as a dynamic, transformative environment. Bring exigence and your inquisitive body.
