“It’s been a while since I’ve seen performances in, like, a found space, in a garden, so I was very moved by a live performance and its conversation with a garden, actually. It was very meditative, and I was reminded how moving it is to see a live performance that can help me, I don’t know, sync into a different rhythm, which put me into a very thoughtful place. So I was very welcoming of that. I think free and outdoor performances are super important, making sure the performing arts is accessible to everyone, and a legacy space, or a legacy theater, is often not the most accessible financially. So I think outdoor performances are great, and it’s also, in New York City, we need to be, I think, encouraging more contact and communication with public spaces, especially gardens. I thought it was great, and it was moving, just because it’s always a great experience to share a live moment with a group of people.”
