LEIMAY se honra en presentar el Tríptico Audiovisual: Rituales de Extinción por primera vez en Colombia.

Concebido y dirigido por el dúo de artistas multidisciplinarios Ximena Garnica y Shige Moriya , Rituales de Extinción se inspira en actos de memoria que celebran la vida y la pérdida de animales, plantas y entornos de los lugares que ellos llaman hogar: Japón, Colombia y Nueva York.

Esta video instalación invita a una exploración meditativa de paisajes enigmáticos, que abarcan desde la Isla Gorgona en Colombia hasta el helado Lago Akan en Japón.
También presenta comunidades de la costa pacífica colombiana, representadas por el LEIMAY Ensamble, realizando ofrendas intencionadas a aquellas especies que han dejado de existir.

Rituales de Extinción es un proyecto en constante evolución, con diversas manifestaciones que incorporan movimiento, canto, palabra hablada, música y narrativa visual para crear breves rituales en honor a especies extintas.
