“I moved to New York City in November 2008, and since then I have developed most of my work at LEIMAY’s studio CAVE. In September 2010 I became a Black Studio Share Artist, and I started to practice and rehearse at CAVE three days a week. At CAVE LEIMAY offers a positive and professional environment for the artists that work there, I feel welcomed and supported, and there is a huge amount of joy for the art from the people who run the organization. A loving, respectful and rigorous environment that truly resonates through the walls, from the white to the black studio. I can confidently say that LEIMAY’s place: CAVE and the people have enormously influenced my theater work, offering me the perfect location to develop my physical, emotional, and intellectual research.”
