7 Stages Theatre

7 Stages Theatre was founded in 1979 by Del Hamilton and Faye Allen in a store front on Moreland Avenue as a home for emerging artists seeking to create innovative, intellectually stimulating work. Their legacy lives on in 7 Stages’ current practices, including providing affordable space for local performance companies, touring productions, and community-oriented organizations.

Since 1979, 7 Stages Theatre has brought local, national, and international emerging artwork of social, political, and spiritual importance to Atlanta audiences. For over 40 years, artists of all kinds have found 7 Stages to be a haven in the support and development of new works and methods of collaboration. They’re also a rental house, meaning lots of theatre companies around Atlanta and beyond can rent our space for their productions.
