The Things We Step On

.

.

The first creation of Things We Step On, was a collaboration between painter Naoki Iwakawa, photographer Ken and sculptor Hirotsune Tashima.
The concept come out of Moriya’s poem titled Travel to Utopia.
Four paintings on the floor spread out randomly. Images evoke peace, religion, emotions and nature. The actual poem is written on the wall of the gallery at eye level. While people read the poem,  sometimes step on the images without notice them.
The Things We Step On is now a series with multiple related works.
