Conversation to follow Saturday’s Performance.
Featuring works by Felix & Dexter Ciprián, Ximena Garnica (LEIMAY), Lyndsey Karr and Jessica Morgan
LEIMAY: Ximena Garnica + Shige Moriya present ”At the Floating Point” a 15 minutes intermedia-perfromance with live music by Jeremy Salter. A kinetic sculpture serves as the surface for the dancing body while the choreography reflects on the shifting world juxtaposed to the human longing for stability and security. The world transforms until our only standing point is instability and we are but an interconnected floating point.
“Believing Performance/Performing Belief” — Conversation
Saturday, March 26th, 8:45pm (after the performance)
How do we (consciously or subconsciously) perform our ideologies? Where does aesthetic vision intersect with belief? The curators invite the audience into a conversation with the artists on how their belief systems inspire their processes, subjects, and aspirations for working in performance. This opportunity is free for all, open to both audience members and others who cannot make the show on Saturday night.
Tickets:
In advance (online) $12 General – $7 Low-Income
Half-hour before show (at the box office) $15 General – $8 Low-Income
