Homodramaticus
Originally written by an Argentinean dramatist Alberto Adellach, Homodramaticus is re‐staged as a dance‐theater performance concerning the war and its ambivalent nature. In the 1960s, Adellach had a clear political and theatrical objective concerning the Argentinean dictatorship, the war, and the constrained structures of Latin American theater at that time, while also considering the universal human drama. Now, other wars are going onaround the world, theatrical structures are already broken, and thus the anecdote is still relevant. Garnica’s Homodramaticus questions the ambivalence of human nature itself and transports the theatrical conflict directly to the body of the actors.
